Inspired by the Palace of Versailles, margrave Friedrich Wilhelm of Baden-Baden built the Residential Palace Rastatt during the 16th and 17th centuries. Recessed in-ground luminaires of the Uplight series wash the façades around the courtyard with warm white light. Numerous sculptures on pedestals and balustrades are accentuated with in-ground luminaires of the same series. The result is a coherent illumination of the baroque palace architecture.
