The new Sinsa Square complex is the gateway to Seoul’s popular Gangnam district. The façade of this landmark building is characterised by numerous window frames, reminiscent of traditional Korean Hanok architecture. To achieve uniform illumination within these frames, one Arclux luminaire with neutral white colour temperature is used for each window. High lux levels at the upper storeys let this building stand out from far away. The luminaires are progressively dimmed down towards the base, to achieve a subtle fading effect. This unique project has won the Seoul Good-Light Award in 2022.
